Hargrave Marksmanship Team Earns National Rifle Association (NRA) Firearm Skill Ratings
This season the Hargrave shooters have focused on mastering the fundamentals of marksmanship and were introduced to quick fire techniques (engaging steel targets), and just recently were familiarized with the fundamentals of shooting targets while moving. To test each shooter’s mastery of the fundamentals of marksmanship they completed multiple levels of the NRA’s rimfire rifle qualification program. This program is designed to take shooters from beginning skill levels (Pro-Marksman and Marksman) through intermediate levels (Sharpshooter, and Expert) up to the nationally recognized skill level and pinnacle of the program, Distinguished Expert. A Distinguished Expert rating parallels that of a competitively classified Sharpshooter. We are proud to report our shooters worked hard and achieved the following skill ratings:
Expert Skill Rating:
Joseph Assen
Jacob Miller
Peyton Smith
Aiden White
Bohong Yang
Sharpshooter Skill Rating:
John Classen
Jaiden Condry
Aiden Dykstra
Andrew Francis
CJ Griffith
Eryk King
Chance Whitenack
