Meritorious Performers
Congratulations to the listed cadets on achieving "Meritorious Performer" status during the fifth marking period. In addition to achieving the required academic performance metric of a 2.5 or better grade point average and maintaining a satisfactory disciplinary record, the listed cadets also achieved an outstanding virtual attendance record during the remote portion of the marking period. Job well done and congratulations once again to all Meritorious Performers!

Academics
The Guidance Department (under Mrs. Olsen) is tracking cadets that may potentially fail courses and working with the cadets and faculty to minimize the possibility that this doesn't happen. Cadets and parents are being notified of this potential. The Guidance Department is working to put all our resources in play to keep a cadet engaged in this traditionally challenging time of year on top of the current public health environment.
Missing homework has been added to Attendance as a warning indicator for academic struggles. Please encourage your cadet to fully utilize faculty availability in the afternoons and Wednesdays. We are looking at 4 class meetings in each course before the end of the semester. The message should be to finish strong by taking care of the little things!
We will conduct the upcoming Mother's Day and the Baccalaureate Services online.
College counselor Mr. Ben Veshi held two parent/cadet Town Halls with Juniors to discuss the college search. Several participated in the virtual college fair that attracted over 300 colleges this week.
End of Year Awards are being prepared. We will strive to celebrate the goodness that was seen this year rather than letting the year be defined by COVID-19.
